Ritchie Blackmore (above) with Deep Purple at Madison Square Garden 1990 - a reunion of sorts in support of Slaves & Masters with Joe Lynn Turner on vocals. Deep Purple Interview
The Done With Mirrors tour of 1984 marked the re-joining of  Aerosmith's original members after years of bickering and bad blood. Though they sold out Madison Square Garden the night NEON was there and most other venues that year, even bigger days were still ahead for Steven Tyler and company. Joining Run DMC for the highly successful rap re-make of "Walk This Way" ultimately led to a then unprecedented sweetheart deal with Sony. Aerosmith still hasn't looked back.

DEEP PURPLE
Michael Score's hairdo may look ridiculous now, but in the '80s it was the ultimate in New Wave coolness.  "I Ran" off their 1982 self-titled debut was huge when NEON caught the Brits at this Paladium show in New York. All the original members were recently brought back together for the VH1 series A Band Reunited.
